Walstroom Lab KOPP

Walstroom is an innovation platform established by the municipality of Rotterdam for the youth sector. The idea is that practice, policy, and science come together during lab days to develop innovations that make an impact.
As Being A Designer, we have taken on a facilitating role in the Walstroom Innovation Lab for Children of Parents with Mental Health Issues (KOPP).

Together with various civil servants, healthcare professionals, and healthcare scientists, we worked through multiple lab days to tackle the complex social issue: How can we better reach and support KOPP children and their families?

To answer this question, lab participants first delved deeper into the problem by conducting research involving both the target group and experts.

Insights from this research were then translated into ideas and concepts through an online creative session. These concepts will soon be presented to the target group and other stakeholders. Ultimately, the goal is to co-create an innovation with all involved parties and experts that truly makes a difference. To be continued...
