Defining the research agenda together as a means to build a coalition

About this project

What urgent issues and questions will the pop music sector face in the coming years? And are we involving people from across the entire sector, not only in exploring the topics but also in carrying out the agenda?

Being A Designer, together with Koos Zwaan and Guido Stompff, had the opportunity to develop a process to help these parties come together around a research agenda. Together with the Pop Coalition, we organized several meetings with stakeholders such as artists, labels, and venues to gather insights on what is important for the coming years and what is needed to take "quick" first steps.

We worked with the participants to refine a selection of topics, which ultimately formed the input for the final research and innovation agenda. This agenda was then used in a matchmaking process with all stakeholders to take steps toward its realization.
