Applying Design with Van Veldhuizen Stichting & Gemeente Rotterdam
Many parents in Rotterdam struggle to find time and attention for positive interactions with their children. Being A Designer developed a process to create an intervention in seven days with a group of professionals to address this issue.
During this process, 165 Rotterdam parents were involved through qualitative research conducted by the social marketing agency W&I group. Between the sprints, the concepts were regularly presented to field experts. At the heart of the process was the rapid testing of assumptions through prototypes. In two iterations, 5 prototypes were developed and tested each time.
The final result is a concept focused on "quality time" between parents and children. Over the next few months, this will be further rolled out.
