Collaborating on the Energy Transition

The energy transition calls for strong collaboration. In practice, however, that collaboration does not always come naturally. In Gilze en Rijen, both Gemeente Gilze en Rijen and Energie Gilze Rijen (EGR) experienced friction at times: expectations did not always align, communication lacked clarity, and minor issues could escalate into unnecessary complications.

Being A Designer facilitated a creative process to restore direction and momentum. Through design-led methods, visualisation, and open dialogue, we worked step by step toward a renewed partnership — both substantively and on a personal level. Together with those involved, we uncovered what is needed to collaborate structurally, constructively, and with mutual trust on the energy transition.
