Co-designing a Future Vision

In 2015, Gemeente Woensdrecht developed a future vision for 2035. In the years that followed, this vision guided many important developments. However, as new local and global shifts emerged, the municipality recognized the need to revisit its course together with residents and stakeholders.

Is the direction still right? And what does the future now ask of Woensdrecht?

Being A Designer facilitated a creative and participatory process to make this recalibration tangible. Through a series of collaborative sessions, we brought together a diverse group of stakeholders — from civil servants and professionals to entrepreneurs and residents — to interpret survey insights, deepen understanding, and translate findings into a shared vision for the future.

To co-create a broadly supported update of the municipality’s long-term vision, involving a wide range of stakeholders, and to translate this into a clear and inspiring future narrative that sparks dialogue.
